Practical Neuroangiography, 2nd Edition

Authors:P. Pearse Morris MB,Director of Interventional Neuroradiology, Associate Professor of Radiology Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Since the first edition of Practical Neuroangiography was published, the field of endovascular and interventional neuroradiology has seen considerable change. Several phenomena have converged within the discipline with the result that it is more difficult now for trainee neuroradiologists to acquire the levels of neuroangiographic skills and acumen that were considered fundamental not so long ago. Replacement of diagnostic neuroangiography by noninvasive imaging, particularly CTA with 3D reconstruction on computer consoles, has overall been a positive contribution to the quality of patient care.Other factors that have changed the de facto syllabus of a neuroradiology fellowship include the niche interest in some neurointerventional procedures among other specialties.
